Description of sport: Competitive Girls Golf Program consisting of 2 teams: Varsity & JV
Season commitment: Practices begin in late March in accordance with the MSHSL Spring Athletics Calendar. Practices are Monday through Friday for 2 hours with competitions happening about 1 to 3 times per week.
Practice/match locations: Oakridge Country Club is home course
Eligibility requirements: Students in Grades 7-12 who meet MSHSL and Hopkins Public Schools Eligibility Requirements.
Tryouts/Cuts: No cuts and all players are encouraged to invite others to join the team! Captains practices often occur in the weeks leading up to the official first day of practice.
Costs and/or needed equipment: Standard athletic registration fee (lunch benefits eligible). Players must provide their own golf clubs, golf bag, golf balls, etc.
The Hopkins Girls Golf Program is an inclusive environment for all student athletes! The Hopkins Girls Golf Program focuses on the balance between competitive golf and golf as a lifelong sport. Our philosophy is to build an environment where all players can have fun, build lasting friendships and relationships, create exciting memories, and enjoy the opportunity to represent the Hopkins community. The coaching staff is committed to providing a positive atmosphere where all golfers can grow, improve their skills, and be a valued member to the team.
