Free Meals & Food Assistance Application Information
Hopkins Public Schools Nutrition & Lifestyle Services offers breakfast and lunch and strives to produce quality meals at a reasonable cost.
Households may apply for free/reduced meals anytime during the school year. Applications are mailed to all households in the District prior to the school year and are included in enrollment packets. In addition, applications are available online or at any school office or kitchen.
If you need to apply for free meals for your children, there are two ways to apply:

Registration Information
Prior to registration, please make sure of the following:
- Student is fully enrolled in Hopkins Schools
- Copy of physical exam on file (must be within last 3 years)
MSHSL Physical Exam Form - As of Fall 2020, Parents will need to set up a NEW registration account. To initiate this, you MUST have your student’s ID number. From there you can create your parent account and register your son/daughter for activities. If you completed this step during the 21-22 school year, you DO NOT need to do it again!
If you are having difficulty registering, it may be due to one of the following:
- Expired physical exam
- Physical Exam must be taken within the past three years
- Email updated physical exams to Erin.Brown@HopkinsSchools.org or Nicole.Hartert@HopkinsSchools.org or fax to 952-988-4546
- Lack of school registration/enrollment
- Outstanding fees
- Lack of verification of free or reduced lunch eligibility
